Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic partnered with the Washington Capitals for the NHL’s Hockey Fight Cancer day and added six lucky wish kids to be honorary starters for their game versus the Vancouver Canucks on November 23rd. The kids were surprised by Head Coach Todd Reirden after he invited them to skate with Capitals players at the Medstar Capitals Iceplex. Each participant was matched with the Capitals starting six players and introduced individually with their headshot on the jumbo-tron in honor of their fight against cancer.
